Total Time 13 minutes

Ingredients

  • Fresh Kale
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • Lemon Pepper Seasoning to taste

Method

  1. Wash the kale thoroughly and dry it completely. This is the most important step. Any moisture will steam the kale instead of crisping it up. Pat dry with a paper towel or spin in a salad spinner.
  2. Tear the kale leaves away from the tough stems and break into chip-sized pieces. Discard the stems.
  3. Twisting the kale makes it easier to tear away from the stem
  4. Place the kale in a large bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and massage it into every leaf until evenly coated. Season generously with lemon pepper seasoning and toss well.
  5. Arrange the kale in a single layer in your air fryer basket, don't overcrowd or they won't crisp up. Air fry at 180°C for 6–8 minutes, checking at the 5 minute mark. They should be crispy and slightly golden at the edges but not burnt.
  6. Serve immediately. Kale chips are best fresh and crispy straight from the air fryer.
